You ever want to play a mobile style game but your phone is out of reach and probably dead anyway? Have you ever wanted play a game with some fungi? Well then, Mushroom Wars 2 is the game for you. I didn’t know what to expect when I loaded this game, a typical sensation when dealing with mushrooms and man, what a trip it was. The music was more epic than I expected, especially for a game featuring mushrooms fighting other mushrooms. The story is light and it’s almost humorous, I may have some spore ribs from the amount of chuckling I did. (Mushrooms have spores, right?)
The game is all about building a village to increase mushroom soldier production so you can take over buildings that belong to the other, evil mushrooms. It’s a numbers game. You want to have more shrooms fighting for you than they have. It’s a really simple concept that can become complicated when trying to calculate numbers and which buildings are the best to take, although to win, you must take everything, you must take all the mushrooms.
Although it’s simple, it is a fun game and there is a story that unfolds the deeper you get into it. The game is kinda like that fungi in your friend group, it keeps it light, keeps moving and stays friendly. I would love to see a mobile version of this game because it’s the perfect game to go on trips with. There’s really not a lot to say about the game other than it does its job well. It’s fun, it’s easy to pick up and put down and it takes you on a magical trip with some fungis on a tale of warfare, domination and WMDs (weaponized Mushrooms of Destruction.) and just to help spread fun, I got some shrooms for you guys!
