Brick Warriors is a company that offers great accessories for your Lego, and Lego-compatible, minifigures. They have all kinds of options for customizing your minifigs, from ancient weapons and armors, to fantasy/medieval, to steampunk, to modern/war, and even futuristic/sci-fi options. There are also even custom-printed minifig parts, as well as limited run minifigures. They also offer t-shirts, novels and even a board game (which I hope to review in the future).
I am a big fan of this company. I love everything they have to offer, and they are always adding more options. I was really excited when I received a sample of some of their upcoming products, their new German Flammenwerfer Accessories.
First off, we have the German Gunner suspenders. I received them in white, black, gray and tan. I am pretty sure they already had these available on their website, but not sure if they had them in these specific colors. They are detailed with pouches on the front, and the back has a stud for attaching things to them. All kinds of things can be attached, be it one of the many items available from Brick Warriors, or a custom built device, as the stud is the right size to connect with Lego bricks. For the purposes of this review, the stud will have a specific purpose.
This is the new Flammenwerfer Tank. It connects perfectly to the suspenders talked about above. I received it in the same four colors as the suspenders. They have put what detailing they could, but it is just a fuel tank, so there is only so much that would need to be molded onto it, the real detail would come in stickers or painting, and that is up to you to customize it as you need for your builds.
And then we have the Flammenwerfer itself. This little bad boy is the part of the set to deliver fiery death to all your mini enemies! Or it could be used for extreme landscaping. I received it in the same four colors as the others. Just like the tank, there is minimal detail added to this, but more than the average Lego accessory.
Last, but definitely not least, we have the German Gas Mask. I think this is my favorite of these new pieces! I love the design on them, and they are very detailed. I received them in the same four color as the rest of the parts. I think it looks best in black though.
To round out the set, you definitely need a piece of the black Lego tubing or, if you don’t have any, Brick Warriors has some for sale. You could also get a red Thraex Plume to use as a flame (in the true spirit of Lego, Brick Warriors has a lot of parts that can have multiple purposes).
By combining all the above parts, you have yourself a German Flametrooper. I really like the way all the parts come together. My only real complaint, and I believe it is something I may have mentioned before in my previous Brick Warriors Review, is some of the weapons meant to be held 2-handed, don’t accommodate it so well. You can’t tell from the picture, but the hand closer to the front of the Flammenwerfer is not actually holding it, there is no place for the front hand to clip, because the angle of the bottom piece. If they had made the Flammenwerfer a tiny bit longer, it would be perfect. Overall, Brick Warriors did a great job on these accessories, as always.
You should check them out, and build yourself your very own German Flametrooper!
OR you could use the parts to make the Bat-Flamethrower!!
