Mill Creek puts out 20 movie collections pretty often and some can be a lot of fun. This set is a collection of 20 action films from various decades. I’ll talk about the stand out films, you can see the full list below.

What We Thought:

There are two stand out films for me in this collection, S.W.A.T. and Last Action Hero. There are some decent films as well. I like JCVD so I’ve seen most of the Universal Soldier films. Universal Soldier: The Return also has Michael Jai White and Bill Goldberg.

It’s a good collection of action stars. Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson, Steven Seagal, Kevin Sorbo, Dolph Lundgren, even Mark Ruffalo. I don’t think I had seen Trapped before. I like Charlize Theron and she’s good in it.

There are a few I had never never heard of either. The Point Men, Hunt for Eagle One and Pact of Silence were new to me. I don’t know if I personally would have put In the Cut or The Quiet in this collection. They are action-y films, but the names in those films don’t scream action like Arnold and Chuck Norris.

Overall at least half of the films in 20 Movie Action Collection are worth seeing. I always liked S.W.A.T. and now it’s becoming a TV show. Last Action Hero was a big dud yet has grown into cult status. If you like Seagal, JCVD, Norris or Dolph, this is a great, cheap collection to add.
