“You are War, Rider of the Red Horse. Not some puppet on this pathetic creature’s strings.”
In Darksiders, you take up the mantle of War, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. War was summoned when the the demons of Hell and the angels from Heaven waged war on Earth. As the story progresses War is accused of starting the war and breaking an ancient pact. This leads to war’s journey to uncover the truth and clear his name.
I’ve been waiting for this day for a very, very long time. Darksiders is my all time favorite game and I’m excited to see a remake happened. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition offers 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. Playing the two versions back to back you can feel the difference. The Warmastered Edition is just so smooth and crisp. Now 4K resolution isn’t something I get excited about because I can’t run 4K, but that being said, the resolution upgrade is a definite improvement and is quite noticeable even if you don’t kick it up to 4K.
Another cool feature of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, at least on PC, is that you can transfer over your save data from the original. I will say, be careful when moving the data as my save files became corrupted during the process, forcing me to start over from the beginning (I didn’t mind, I was planning to anyway).
If you owned Darksiders on Steam, you got Darksiders Warmastered Edition for free, If you don’t own Darksiders, Warmastered Edition is only $3.99 right now di to a sale. Normally it is $19.99 (which is still a steal) if you like games like God of War and Legend of Zelda, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is your game.
