Ged-GedYah! The epic struggle for power rages on when WGN America’s hit series, OUTSIDERS: SEASON TWO, debuts on DVD May 23 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Season Two turns up the intensity as G’Win Farrell (Gillian Alexy) becomes the new clan leader and has to face the repercussions of her decisions in her newfound role. She is put to the test as the clan becomes divided and Asa (Joe Anderson), Hasil (Kyle Gallner) and Lil Foster (Ryan Hurst) dangerously stray from the pack. Can she unite the Farrell family to fend off Sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas M. Wright) and the coal company’s efforts to take over the mountain?
WGN America’s original series, OUTSIDERS: SEASON TWO stars David Morse (The Green Mile) alongside Gillian Alexy (TV’s “The Americans”), Ryan Hurst (TV’s “Sons of Anarchy”), Kyle Gallner (American Sniper), Christina Jackson (TV’s “Boardwalk Empire”), Francie Swift (TV’s “Gossip Girl”), and Thomas M. Wright (TV’s “Top of the Lake”). OUTSIDERS: SEASON TWO was created by Peter Mattei (Love in the Time of Money), who also serves as an executive producer along with Dan Carey (John Dies at the End), Paul Giamatti (TV’s “Billions”), Peter Tolan (TV’s “Rescue Me”) and Michael Wimer (TV’s “The Jim Gaffigan Show”).
OUTSIDERS: SEASON TWO contains all 13 episodes in a four-disc DVD set with 29 deleted scenes. Over 28 minutes of deleted footage includes never-before-seen moments between Hasil and Sally-Ann, new insight into Sheriff Houghton’s investigations, private conversations between Big Foster and Lil Foster, and more. In addition, and available for a limited time only, a multi-season DVD set will also be available May 23. The 8-disc DVD package includes all 26 episodes from Seasons One and Two with two behind-the-scenes featurettes from Season One and 47 deleted scenes from both seasons.
A struggle for power and control continues in the rugged hills of Appalachia as the battle between the clan and the town escalates with the Farrells becoming more isolated than ever before. The uneasy truce that had previously existed between the townspeople and the family tribe came to an abrupt end when Big Coal headed up the mountain and the standoff continues to have repercussions, putting everyone to the test as they’re forced to face new challenges and enemies.
