Synopsis:

An ancient talisman buried deep at the bottom of a swamp is accidentally disturbed, conjuring the zombified, severed head of a centuries-old warrior. The killer cranium takes to the air in a unstoppable bloodbath, exacting a chomping, gnawing revenge on anyone in its path. Now it’s up to a group of teenagers to destroy Swamphead – but can they put this case of bad head to rest for good.

Swamphead
What We Thought:

Swamphead is the classic “So Bad It’s Good” film. I had a lot of fun with it.

Is the movie actually good? No. That’s a point blank no. The acting isn’t good. The production value is worse than a viral cell phone video today.

But that’s why it’s so entertaining. It’s a head going around killing people. Just a head. And you can see the string that makes it float and move at times. And I’m totally A-OK with that.

In fact, while watching it, I sent a buddy a message saying “Ahahahahaha I just saw the string!” I respect that they didn’t try to hide it or they did, but missed it a few times.

Obviously you have to have a soft spot for these types of movies. I totally do. I also work in film especially indie film so I know what it takes to put a movie like this together. The filmmakers went out to make a fun flick. And they did.

Plus I have to give the one actor a ton of credit for doing shirtless scenes. In B-movies like this, you expect some nudity. You usually get some boobs in them. This poor fellow, well he provided those boobs except his are of the man kind. Yeah you get some man-boobs in this.

Swamphead isn’t for everyone. It’s not supposed to be. Most people will cringe at the cheesy effects, gore and production value. To me, that’s what makes it so great. I’ve already recommended it to friends. You either like these types of movies or you don’t. That’s fine. MST3K and Rifftrax have a huge following cause of people like me who love watching this stuff. If you are one of those people, then this is…
