World-renowned LEGO® artist debuted his PARK PEOPLE series at South by South Lawn at the White House in Washington, D.C.
President Barack Obama shared a moment with one of world-renowned, LEGO® artist, Nathan Sawaya’s, ten human form sculptures seen at South by South Lawn (SXSL) with the global debut of his PARK PEOPLE series. This new collection of sculptures support Sawaya’s mission of inspiring creativity, putting art in unexpected places and making art accessible.
Sawaya, an award-winning artist and founder of THE ART OF THE BRICK global touring exhibition, lays reference to being both the viewer and the participant by encouraging onlookers to ‘sit for a bit’ next to the figures, conversing about your day, talking about the weather or divulging your innermost secrets. His critically acclaimed works of art are on exhibition at various institutes and galleries around the world.
