What We Thought:

50 Movie Collection: Mad Scientist Theater is a great mix of classic horror and science fiction. It has some great names and films in it that are worth owning.

We here at The Nerds Templar are big fans of Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Telly Savalas and all the classic horror and science fiction actors.

The best one in this collection to me is Horror Express. I’ve seen it many times, but I loved watching it again. Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were a fantastic duo and I’ll watch anything they did. Add in Telly Savalas, a creature and a twist and this is a classic to me. This alone is worth the price.

You also get John Barrymore’s classic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. You get Jack Palance’s Man in the Attic which is a cool Jack the Ripper story.

Rock Hudson and Diane Ladd appear in Embryo. I had never seen this one before and it’s pretty creepy. It has Roddy McDowall in it as well. You also get The Ape with Boris Karloff.

Plus you get a bunch of Bela Lugosi films The Phantom Creeps, The Ape Man (which I’ve seen multiple times), Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla, The Corpse Vanishes, The Devil Bat and Shadow of Chinatown.
