50 Movie Collection: Killer Creature Features is a pretty sweet collection of classic monster movies. This is perfect for any old school horror collector.
We here at The Nerds Templar are big fans of Lon Chaney, Raymond Burr, Boris Karloff, and other classic movie actors. The set features some fantastic films that you need to own.
One of the standouts for me is the original The Little Shop of Horrors. I’ve seen this film many times, but it’s still worth seeing again. It has a young Jack Nicholson in it!
It has Snake People (sometimes called Isle of the Snake People) which is one of Karloff’s last films. It has Bride of the Gorilla with both Raymond Burr and Lon Chaney Jr. Chaney Jr. can also be seen in Indestructible Man.
Lon Chaney Sr. is also in this box set with The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera, yeah THAT black & white classic version. Max Schreck’s iconic Nosferatu is also included!
The big surprise for me was Snowbeast with Clint Walker. Walker is best known for Westerns and here he plays a sheriff in a mountain town. Looks like it might have been a TV movie from the late 1970’s.
There’s way too many films to talk about (50!) individually and some are better than others, but I really love this collection. Not one film feels out of place and the names that pop up are incredible. James Earl Jones, Peter Graves, James Mitchum, John Carradine and more can be seen throughout the films.
